Conference is a major two-day conference that will bring delegates from across the theatre sector together on 3rd and 4th April 2017 in Jaipur. This is the first ever event of this kind since 2009 after establishment of The IISU Theatrical Society.Inititaive that will highlight role of theatre in education, its past present and future ahead. It will also cover social, cultural aspect of theatre.It will discuss how theatre can be made more relevant in the field of education. It will support and advance study and practice of theatre and performance in education. The conference will have various sessions, panel discussions that will address challenges that the theatre industry has struggled with over several decades.
Objectives -
- Conference aims to promote the recognition of Theatre in education as a valued part of education.
- Conference aims to bring together leading researchers and research scholars to exchange and share their experiences about all aspects of Theatre like role of theatre in education, theatre’s past and present.
- It also provides interdisciplinary forum for researchers and educators to present and discuss the most recent innovations and trends in the field of Theatre
